Amon Tobin – Foley Room trailer

I’m a big fan of a few of Amon Tobin’s previous releases, especially Briolage. He created his upcoming release by recording real sounds from all over, and then taking them back to the studio to sample and mix. The results are very cool, but they still sound like Amon. There’s a limited edition that comes with a DVD of the process, here’s the trailer for it.

Hey, I like it, thanks for the info. From all the different music I listen to, Amon’s is most similar to how I view my jazz cds. While most of them are from the 50s and 60s, I know I’ll keep them forever; they will stand the ‘test of time’; Amon’s is the same way. Also like jazz I enjoy ‘finding’ new things in the music on repeated listens. I’ve got the player in the right gutter there, I hope others get into his music, it’s good for you!
