I can see the shuffle working for something like that or what you're talking about, my problem is I'm always shifting what I want to hear, so to have to narrow it down...well...it'd be hard. But darn, those are really small now, and the Nano's are not! Hmmm...how many days til xmas?

True that, my wife has the 4G Nano and has the armband so she can wear it when she runs, works perfectly for that. I was aware of the new releases, but didn't know that they'd changed the casing on the "classic" iPods. I'll definitely have to look into it.I've treated the shuffle with disdain, as it initially appeared useless [why in the world would you not be able to control what you listen to?], but I'm actually thinking about getting one now. I spent a lot of time outside doing yardwork this summer, and my iPod was driving me crazy. It's not really *big*, but when you're trying to get something done, or take it running with you, I can now see the appeal of getting a shuffle, loading it up with songs you love and not having to deal with the bulk of the 20 or 30G.

Hooray Apple!
